A Case For Neutral Stone Veneer Shades
I have a weakness for designer magazines because I just can’t help but admire all of the bold designs within the glossy pages. However, I find that I am drawn to spaces with neutral palettes, especially ones with multiple layers of stone textures and rock patterns. What is true is that beige, cream, and taupe don’t need to be boring. Rather, when incorporating stone veneers in these shades they become sophisticated, serene, interesting, and inviting if done right.
When I look for what makes a neutral stone wall successful I look at a combination of several design elements. With a neutral palette the visual interest comes from the shapes of the decorative stones chosen, contrast between light and dark and how it blends with warm wood tones or contemporary metallic sheens, as well as layering of stone patterns and textures. One thing that you must keep in mind is that people’s tastes change every 5-10 years meaning no matter what adjustments happen to the said room, the neutral and natural stone shades will always blend in, especially when you are looking to resell the property. Furthermore, I find that a neutral stone veneered bedroom to be more of a restful and soothing place. Below is one of our most favorite bedrooms where several different stone patterns are present.
