So you’ve planned your layout, sketched out the design and installed the stone veneer. Now what?
Stone veneer products are the perfect accent piece to tie a room’s theme together and transforming an otherwise bland area into something spectacular. Once you’ve grasped the installation and layout procedures designing new projects is straight forward. You plan out where the stone veneer should go and follow the simple installation instructions.
These steps are all fairly straight forward. However there are a number of elements that will improve the look of your manufactured stone veneer products once they are installed. One of these elements is of course colour. The colour of a stone veneer actually changes based on the surrounding hues. Believe it or not but light and the surrounding area both alter the appearance of natural stone, manufactured stone veneer and stone cladding.
All Stone Selex products come in a variety of colours. When choosing the most appropriate stone veneer for a space it is important to match the existing colour palette in a room or space. Pay attention to the wall colours as well as the existing furniture. Manufactured stone veneer works best as an accent piece to the existing set up of a room or space. Mellow wall colours are complimented by the stone veneers hues. Choose a colour palette and stick to it.
Let’s use Sienna Country Ledge as an example. Sienna Coutry Ledge is a fairly light coloured stone veneer. It’s actual colour ranges from yellow and orange to a very mild crimson and light grey. If you combine these colours with a light coloured yellow or mild peach then the Sienna will blend in with the walls. This effect is sometimes desired, in an instance where the stone veneer would be overpowering choose one that will blend in with the wall colour.
For a different and more dramatic contrast you could pair up the Sienna Canyon Ledge with dark wooden furniture for an alternate effect. In this scenario the dark wooden colour compliments the lighter Sienna colour making it stand out and vice-versa.
