As you may have seen on the facades of restaurants and high end retailers our manufactured stone veneer has reached the commercial realm.
Over the past few years a few commercial manufactured stone veneer styles have emerged. These styles are just a selection of the most popular looks and textures that we’ve seen develop in the greater GTA and surrounding area. If you are a restaurant owner or retail manager you’ll be pleased to see the dynamic and tasteful look stone veneer provides to an outdoor surface.
Here is a list of some common trends that have developed.
Very straight and vertical: Many of the facades we’ve seen have one thing in common. The surface of the walls are built in a very straight and vertical manner. The stone veneer is used as the alternate wall texture of the outdoor surface. The stone veneer is built up so that it covers the entire area of the wall. It becomes almost like a substitute for stucco, which makes sense since stucco is the other most common texture in this style.
Geometric and neat: Many of these facades also seem to have a very neat and tidy look to them. Rather than going for the natural stone look, many retail locations and chain restaurants like evenly stacked straight edge stone veneers that create a geometric pattern. This results in a very neat, straight and contemporary wall texture.
A taste for contemporary stones: Lastly, we’ve noticed that commercial applications of stone veneer often incorporate our most contemporary looking stones. Stone veneer patterns like the Quick Fit, Limestone and Timber Ledge Line are most often used. Their straight and geometric lines create the neat and contemporary look that business owners desire.
